The Dragon silently watched his prey; waiting for the right moment to strike.

This is another of Hollywood Jack; he's 8 1/2 ft. long Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis) . They are found only six Indonesian Islands and are very rare. They are the largest living lizards in the world and can reach up to 150 lb. The IUCN has listed the Komodo Dragon as Vulnerable due to low numbers in the wild, between 3,000 and 5,000, due to such threats as grassland fires and human encroachment. Taken at the Memphis Zoo on 08-28-12.
